Medium gold with an intense and prolonged fine bead and mousse. Clean nose with hints of honey and caramelised apple.
The extended lees ageing means the honey theme continues on the palate, balanced nicely with crisp acidity and hints of melon, cucumber, thyme and orange blossom. A long, vinous finish.
Over 10 years on the lees has given this wine a wonderful complexity, a lovely example of an English, 100% Chardonnay sparkler.
