Pinot Meunier

‘The Miller’

Pinot Meunier is easily distinguishable from Pinot Noir by the white flour-like dusty down on the leaves - hence it’s name: Meunier is French for miller.

It’s a relatively low cropper on our site, however I really love the flavour of the grapes and took the decision quite early (2013) to produce a 100% Pinot Meunier sparkling.

Pinot Meunier adds roundness to the blend and is an essential part of our Classic Cuvées.

Makes a wonderful 100% Pinot Meunier Blanc de Noirs, but is also crucial for our Classic Cuvée blends.
