They say good things come in small packages. At Tickerage we live and breathe this motto by creating handcrafted sparkling English wines of distinction from our boutique 5-acre family-owned and run vineyard. Situated on top of a sandstone ridge, our English vineyard has the free-draining soils vines love so much.
We only use estate-grown grapes from our Sussex based vineyard. These are harvested by hand at the optimal time for both acidity and ripeness every Autumn. Our wines spend at least 5 years ageing to create the most complex flavours. We only release Tickerage in small batch runs to ensure that every bottle is an exquisite experience.
As a husband and wife team of grower-producers, we lovingly tend to our vines and carefully cultivate the classic Champagne varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. We are passionate about creating limited runs of long lees aged Sparkling English Wines, a method that ensures complexity, flavour and taste. This is the hallmark of Tickerage.
Having studied viticulture at world-renowned Plumpton College, we established our bespoke Tickerage vineyard in the Sussex village of Blackboys in 2007, planting 2 hectares of vines. Some two years later, in 2009, family and friends helped us to pick the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes from our first harvest. The result was our award-winning 2009 Tickerage Blush, sadly now out of stock, but we are thoroughly enjoying the 2013 vintage. We hope you'll enjoy it too!
Zena and Anthony are the perfect team of technical vineyard knowledge and people skills. They are super accommodating. Their wines are complex, fresh and delicious…perfect for any wedding or celebration or as a special treat.

Caring for the Palate and the Planet
As a family, we feel privileged to look out onto the vines and the stunning Wealden and Ashdown Forest backdrop and the plethora of plants and wildlife that our little slice of paradise attracts during the ever-changing seasons.
Our ethical approach to winemaking involves using the terroir and micro-climate to create limited batch runs of delicious, vegan friendly sparkling wines with minimal intervention and practically zero food miles.
This is mightly impressive – taughtly wound with citrus, fresh toast and flowers, it is complex and grows in the glass.
