We hand-craft a range of sparkling and still English wines using only our own estate grown grapes. Every bottle of Tickerage is made in the Traditional Method and has spent at least five years in the bottle undergoing secondary fermentation on the lees. All our artisan wines are produced from the grapes grown in that particular year, capturing the natural expression of that year's growing season. Why not try our range of Classic Cuvées currently available from 2010, 2013 and 2014 to taste the difference?
On 1st May 2007, we planted 8,000 vines comprising the Champagne three vines - Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. With the help of friends and family we harvested the grapes from these vines in 2009 and they went into the blend to create our first wine, the 2009 Tickerage Blush.
Each year we create individual wines that best suit the grapes grown. For instance, 2011 was a superb year for Chardonnay, so we concentrated on making a fantastic Blanc de Blancs. Each year brings it's own challenges and benefits - there is no such thing as an average English summer!
