We live down a tiny lane in rural Blackboys, East Sussex – located near Lewes and Brighton & Hove to the west, Eastbourne to the east and Heathfield and the Kent town of Tunbridge Wells to the north.
Living on-site means we can be found out in our boutique vineyard daily. This enables us to be meticulous about every aspect of viticulture. We look at everything from canopy management to making informed and often difficult decisions about cultivation. This included the optimal time to pick our grapes and gently to press them. Leading ultimately to deciding how to blend them to create memorable quality English wines.
Sitting in an elevated position in the Sussex Weald, we are privileged to have far-reaching views of the rolling East Sussex countryside towards Ashdown Forest. We’re also surrounded by the famous Wealdway walking route. As a result, Tickerage is a hidden gem sought out by discerning wine lovers and those keen to explore the flourishing English fizz scene.
We are currently planning regular Saturday morning tours of the vineyard and winery that we are hopeful can begin by August. These will be for a limited number of people and sold via tickets.
